The Caroline County Humane Society held their first annual yard sale on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Old Ladysmith Elementary School and we would like to thank everyone who stopped and visited with us.  Our mission is to provide assistance for pets in need and the success of this event will help tremendously.  The Humane Society would like to thank Jody Canard, Gil & Judy Shelton, and Courtney Covington for their generous donation of items.  A special thank you to Jody Canard, Kermit’s Corn and G & G Farm Supply for their donation of a propane barbeque grill, the planter/azalea bushes, and a hanging basket that were raffled off to help raise additional funds.  I would also like to thank Susan Sullivan, Mark Svare, Ted Mills, Sandee Mills, and Jody Canard who volunteered their time to make this event a huge success.
